Abstract:

Brassica vegetable is rich in germplasm resources and has very important role in China’s vegetable industry. Isolated microspore culture is a considerable way to create haploid and double haploid, and is significant to improve the breeding efficiency of Brassica vegetables. In order to study the efficient culture system of isolated microspore of Brassica vegetables, the effects of plant materials, pretreatment methods, medium composition, culture density, heat shock, plantlet regeneration, ploidy identification and diploid inducement on microspore culture were summarized. It is proposed that the efficiency of isolated microspore culture of Brassica vegetables could be improved by the optimization of cultivation system, genetic transformation and co-culture treatment.

Key words: Brassica vegetables, isolated microspores, embryogenesis, plantlet regeneration, double haploid, breeding
