Abstract: The Supply-side Reform is the inevitable choice to improve the quality and efficiency of rural tourism, which is more prominent in the suburbs of Beijing facing the huge tourist market. Based on the theory of Supply-side Reform, this paper studied the Strategies for the promotion and development of rural tourism in Changping District of Beijing. Based on the characteristics of the development of rural tourism in Changping and combined with the questionnaire survey data, this paper finded the problems and gaps of rural tourism in Changping. The study also put forward some strategies to promote the development of rural tourism with a deeply analyzing the resources, market and policies of rural tourism development in Changping. To promote the Supply-side Reform of rural tourism, Changping should construct the characteristic towns and villages by differentiation, build the agricultural park and the rural complex, and develop the demonstration project of agricultural and forestry tourism.
