Abstract:

To reflect the development of high-quality farmers in Fujian and explore more effective ways to cultivate high-quality farmers, the study tracked and investigated the comprehensive data about high-quality farmers, including the gender ratio, age structure, education level and others in Fujian from 2015 to 2018, based on which, it presented the development status of new agricultural business operators, such as operators of family farms, and principals of farm cooperatives. At the same time, the development characteristics of the key groups of high-quality farmers in Fujian were compared. The restricting factors of current development of high-quality farmers were analyzed from the aspects of education level, cultivating supply and demand, contradicts between production and education, and supporting policies, and then, the author put forward corresponding suggestions in terms of speeding up the cultivation of high-quality farmers in Fujian, building a lifelong learning system, exploring and cultivating new agricultural business models, promoting online and offline integration, and establishing supporting policies.
