Abstract:

The aim is to provide theoretical guidance for integrated pest management. We summarized the effect of heavy metal accumulation on herbivores, and concluded the mechanism of heavy metal accumulation affecting plant defense against herbivores. Meanwhile, we also analyzed the effect of herbivores attacking on the accumulation of heavy metal. We thought that the mechanism of heavy metal affecting plant and herbivore interactions is still unclear, and pointed out that the importance and necessity of studying the effect of heavy metal accumulation on herbivores in natural condition.
