  The Effects of Staged Sowing on Yield and Quality of Summer Maize CUI Zhaoyun, ZOU Junli, YANG Rongguang, SHI Zhaopeng 2023, 13 (5):  1-9.  DOI: 10.11923/j.issn.2095-4050.cjas2022-0046 Abstract + ( 266 )   HTML ( 17 )   PDF ( 1213KB )   ( 237 ) The objective of the study is to explore the effects of different sowing dates on dry matter accumulation, yield and quality of summer maize under the background of climate change. ‘Denghai 605’ was used as the test material, four sowing dates were set: May 31 (sowing date 1, S1), June 10 (sowing date 2, S2), June 20 (sowing date 3, S3) and June 30 (sowing date 4, S4), to study the effects of different sowing dates on plant height, leaf area index, dry matter accumulation and distribution, grain filling characteristics, yield and quality formation of summer maize under different climate backgrounds in different years. The yield of summer maize varied from year to year at different sowing dates. The yield was higher under S3 in 2018. S1 had the highest yield in 2019, which was higher than that of other years. S2 had the highest yield in 2020, which was significantly higher than that of other sowing dates. Maize population yield was significantly correlated with accumulated temperature, ear diameter was significantly correlated with precipitation, and extremely significantly correlated with sunlight; ear length was significantly correlated with sunlight. Different sowing dates had an impact on the content of grain protein, fat and starch, and had a greater impact on crude fiber content. Accumulated temperature was significantly correlated with grain fat content and crude fiber content, and sunlight was significantly correlated with grain starch content. The effect of sowing date on plant height was relatively small and the effect on leaf area index was large. Sowing at the right time could effectively increase the leaf area index and biomass of maize. Leaf area index was significantly higher under S2 and S3 in 2018, especially the leaf area index under S3 were higher than that of other sowing dates in this year, the ear dry matter accumulation was high at the harvest stage, and the yield was higher than that at other sowing dates. Sowing at the right time can make full use of local climatic conditions, improve the utilization of sunlight, temperature and water resources by summer maize, promote the transfer of photosynthetic assimilates from the leaves to the ears, and increase the rate of grain filling, thus effectively increasing grain weight and ensuring the formation of yield and quality.

In this study, the breeding process, parent source and characteristics, yield performance, stress resistance, disease resistance and quality analysis of the variety were analyzed. The study proposed that in variety breeding, we should highlight the exploration and utilization of excellent germplasm resources, strengthen adversity selection and improve ecological adaptability of the varieties, so as to breed a new maize variety with high yield and quality, wide adaptability, density tolerance and strong stress resistance.

  Effects of Planting Patterns on Plant Properties and Yield of Different Early Spring Potato Varieties FAN Chunmei, PENG Errui, CHEN Jinsong, YIN Yamin 2023, 13 (5):  15-20.  DOI: 10.11923/j.issn.2095-4050.cjas2022-0155 Abstract + ( 183 )   HTML ( 7 )   PDF ( 1126KB )   ( 127 ) The study aims to screen out the appropriate planting patterns of potato and provide data support for large-scale promotion of potato varieties and farmers’ income increase in Dianwei town, Jianshui, Yunnan Province. A field experiment with seven treatments of different planting patterns (the double line width ridge- drip irrigation under white film-mulching, the double line width ridge- drip irrigation, the double line width ridge- white film-mulching, the double line width ridge, the double line width ridge -straw cored, the double line width ridge-black film-mulching, conventional cultivation) was conducted during early spring potato growing period. Two potato varieties (‘Cooperation 88’ from Southwest China and ‘Qingshu No.9’ introduced from Potato Institute of Yunnan Agricultural University) were used to evaluate the effects of the planting patterns. The results showed that, varieties, planting patterns and their interaction had significantly different effects on the plant characteristics and yield of potato. The potato plant height and yield of the double line width ridge-black film-mulching were the lowest, 44.6 cm and 6.48 t/hm2 of ‘Cooperation 88’, and 41.4 cm and 7.89 t/hm2 of ‘Qingshu No.9’, respectively. The number of main stems of potato under conventional cultivation was the highest: 7.7 of ‘Cooperation 88’, and 6.9 of ‘Qingshu No.9’. For the same planting pattern, the plant height and stem diameter of the ‘Cooperation 88’ were higher than those of the ‘Qingshu No.9’, but there was no regularity between the two potato varieties in the number of main stems and yield characteristics. The yield of ‘Cooperation 88’ of the double line width ridge- white film-mulching was the highest, which was 20.69 t/hm2, and the yield of ‘Qingshu No.9’of the double line width ridge- drip irrigation under white film-mulching was the highest, which was 23.53 t/hm2. Therefore, the planting pattern of double line width ridge- white film mulching is the best planting mode of ‘Cooperation 88’potato, and the planting pattern of double line width ridge- drip irrigation under white film-mulching is the most appropriate planting mode of ‘Qingshu No.9’in Dianwei town, Jianshui, Yunnan province.

  Evolution Analysis of Main Traits of Registered Rape Varieties in China from 2017 to 2021 CAO Xiaodong, LU Yantian, ZHENG Guoqiang, TONG Xiaoli, GAO Jingru, ZHAO Jianan, SHANG Liping, LI Baojun, WANG Hao, REN Junrong 2023, 13 (5):  21-27.  DOI: 10.11923/j.issn.2095-4050.cjas2022-0053 Abstract + ( 180 )   HTML ( 8 )   PDF ( 1356KB )   ( 125 ) The study explored the development trend of oilseed rape variety selection and breeding, aiming to provide reference for breeding direction of rape. This study was conducted by compiling information on 594 registered kale type winter oilseed rape varieties in China from 2017—2021 to comprehensively analyze the change patterns and correlations of relevant traits of registered varieties. The results showed that: the growth period of the registered varieties presented a shortening trend, with an average annual shortening of 2.3 days; the yield of the varieties had an increasing trend, with an average annual increase of 60.90 kg/hm2; the main traits of plant height, thousand-seed weight and oil content showed an increasing trend with an average annual increase of 2.83 cm, 0.07% and 0.67%, respectively; the changes of the remaining traits were relatively stable. Correlation analysis showed that the growth period was highly significantly and positively correlated with the number of siliques per plant, seeds per silique, and yield; the yield was closely correlated with seeds per silique and thousand-seed weight; and the different synergistic effects among the remaining traits together constituted variety specificity, consistency and stability. Principal component analysis (PCA) screened out five principal components with a cumulative contribution of 71.44% to the overall variance, of which effective number of branches, the number of siliques per plant, seeds per silique, thousand-seed weight and erucic acid were the main factors responsible for the differences among these varieties. In general, the Brassicanapus varieties bred in recent years are more early maturing and have steadily improved yield and oil content. Future breeding objectives should focus on improving traits such as thousand-seed weight, seeds per silique and oil content.

  Effects of Adding Humic Acid on Yield and Quality of Flue-cured Tobacco Under Flood Irrigation Condition SUN Xingquan, HUANG Heming, LIU Hong, XU Shanhe, LIU Yinan, LU Ping, YUAN Xiutang, ZHENG Wu, WANG Zhushi 2023, 13 (5):  28-34.  DOI: 10.11923/j.issn.2095-4050.cjas2022-0060 Abstract + ( 197 )   HTML ( 18 )   PDF ( 1154KB )   ( 132 ) To optimize the fertilization practice of flue-cured tobacco under flood irrigation condition, increase the planting benefit and improve the quality, different amount of water-soluble humic acid was added in the form of basal fertilizer to study the effects on yield, conventional chemical composition, aromatic substances and sensory evaluation of flue-cured tobacco. Compared with conventional fertilization, the yield, output value and net benefit were increased by 12.35%, 17.16% and 9.31% respectively when the adding amount of humic acid was 900 kg/hm2. The adding amount of humic acid was in accordance with quadratic correlation on yield, output value and net benefit, the optimal amount corresponding to the maximum yield, output value and net benefit was 924.56, 935.94 and 706.46 kg/hm2, respectively. The addition of humic acid increased the nicotine content of flue-cured tobacco by 21.53%-43.06%, and reduced the chloride content by 24.80%-55.20%, and significantly improved the harmony of chemical compositions, increased the content of ketone, alcohol, acid, ester (lactone) and total amount of aromatic substances, and reduced the ratio of neophytadiene to other aromatic substances in tobacco leaves to different degrees. The adding of humic acid was beneficial to increase the aroma volume of unblended cigarette, adding burnt-sweet or hay-sweet flavor, but the adding amount higher than 900 kg/hm2 could lead to lower sensory quality. Adding 706-900 kg/hm2 water-soluble humic acid could increase the planting benefit and improve the quality of flue-cured tobacco under flood irrigation condition, which has a good value for promotion in flue-cured tobacco cultivation practice.

  Screening the Optimum Ratio of Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium for Protein Mulberry (Morus alba L.) in Wind-sand Grassland Area of Northern Shaanxi CHAI Guaiqiang, MASHU Haoyang, LI Lin, DUAN Yizhong, HUO Yanbo, KANG Furen 2023, 13 (5):  35-43.  DOI: 10.11923/j.issn.2095-4050.cjas2022-0156 Abstract + ( 133 )   HTML ( 5 )   PDF ( 1358KB )   ( 123 ) The paper aims to study the effects of different fertilization treatments on photosynthetic characteristics, water use efficiency, yield and quality of mulberry leaves, and explore the optimal combined fertilizer application ratio suitable for the growth of protein mulberry. Three-year-old seedlings of ‘Yuyinsang-1’ were used as the materials. Eight treatments (T0, T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, T6 and T7) of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium combined application were set to comprehensively screen out the optimal application rate for protein mulberry planted in Yulin wind-sand grassland area by measuring physiological characteristics, yield and quality of mulberry leaves. The results showed that different treatments of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium combined application had significant effects on the photosynthetic characteristics of protein mulberry. With the increase of fertilizer application rate, chlorophyll content, net photosynthetic rate, transpiration rate and water use efficiency of mulberry leaves increased first and then decreased, and all physiological characteristics under T5 treatment were significantly higher than those of the control (P<0.05). Different treatments had no significant effects on plant height and stem weight per plant (P>0.05), but had significant effects on dry leaf weight per plant, biological yield and total yield per plant (P<0.05). The crude protein content increased first and then decreased, and the crude protein content of mulberry leaves under T4 and T5 treatments was significantly higher than that under the control treatment (P<0.05), and the crude fat content of mulberry leaves under T4, T5 and T6 treatments was significantly higher than that under the control treatment (P<0.05), which was 1.80, 1.90 and 1.78 times that of the control, respectively. The correlation analysis showed that the yield was very significantly and positively correlated with chlorophyll content, net photosynthetic rate, water use efficiency, crude protein content and crude fat content (P<0.01). The photosynthetic characteristics, water use efficiency, yield and quality indexes of protein mulberry were compared by membership function method, and T5 treatment (N fertilizer 150 kg/hm2, P fertilizer 90 kg/hm2 and K fertilizer 60 kg/hm2) had strong photosynthetic capacity, high yield, good quality, and high water use efficiency. Therefore, T5 treatment is the most suitable fertilizer application ratio in wind-sand grassland area in northern Shaanxi Province.

  Residue Behavior and Dietary Risk Assessment of Prochloraz and Its Metabolites in Celery and Ginger LIU Qian, SHEN Jing, LIU Jun, CHEN Xin, CHENG Yunbin 2023, 13 (5):  44-49.  DOI: 10.11923/j.issn.2095-4050.cjas2022-0069 Abstract + ( 212 )   HTML ( 3 )   PDF ( 1142KB )   ( 220 ) In order to study the residue behavior and dietary intake risk of prochloraz and its metabolites in celery and ginger, the 1-year and 6-site standardized residue test of prochloraz and its metabolites in celery and ginger was carried out, samples were analyzed by gas chromatography (GC-ECD), and the dietary intake risk of prochloraz and its metabolites in celery and ginger were evaluated by using the methods of Joint Meeting on Pesticide Residues. When the adding levels of prochloraz were 0.02, 0.1 and 1 mg/kg, the average recovery rate of prochloraz in ginger was 77%-87%, and its relative standard deviation was 3%-13%.When the adding levels of prochloraz were 0.05, 0.5, 1 and 10 mg/kg, the average recovery rate of prochloraz in celery was 75%-114%, and its relative standard deviation was 3%-6%. The half-life of prochloraz in celery was from 6.1-6.8 d. The national estimated daily intake (NEDI) of prochloraz for the general population was 0.67331 mg/d, and the risk probability of dietary intake was 106.9%. The results show that the dietary intake risk of prochloraz and its metabolites is not acceptable for the general population of China. This experiment provides a basis for the rational application and scientific supervision of prochloraz in vegetables, and the establishment of Maximum Residue Limit (MRL) standards of prochloraz and its metabolites in celery and ginger.

  Dynamic Analysis of Landscape Ecological Pattern in Minhe County of Qinghai Province YE Xiaozheng, ZHANG Jinxu, HOU Zhiguo 2023, 13 (5):  50-57.  DOI: 10.11923/j.issn.2095-4050.cjas2022-0051 Abstract + ( 136 )   HTML ( 3 )   PDF ( 1677KB )   ( 175 ) The paper aims to study the landscape distribution law and land use degree in Minhe County of Qinghai Province in recent 20 years. With the support of GIS technology, this study took Minhe County in Qinghai Province as the research object, selected the global land cover data GlobeLand30 in 2000, 2010 and 2020, established a classification system according to the GlobeLand30 classification standard, and obtained the area of each landscape type and the change in the 20 years by the land type transfer matrix. Finally, Fragstats4 landscape analysis software was used to select 9 major landscape indicators to make a comparative analysis of patch type and landscape level of landscape pattern in Minhe County. The results showed that: (1) the area of artificial land increased the most, and the area of cultivated land decreased the most; among them, the tendency of cultivated land transformed into artificial land was particularly obvious; (2) grassland and cultivated land had the highest degree of fragmentation, and the wetland was less fragmented; (3) the overall land use degree index increased, and the land use effect was obvious. The dynamic analysis of landscape ecological pattern plays an important role in regional land use planning and lays a foundation for future regional ecological and environmental protection.

  Effects of Edible (Medicinal) Fungus Residues on Aggregate Properties of Sandy Loam Soils XU Shuang, KAN Yuchen 2023, 13 (5):  58-65.  DOI: 10.11923/j.issn.2095-4050.cjas2022-0054 Abstract + ( 171 )   HTML ( 3 )   PDF ( 1348KB )   ( 136 ) To find out the effects of edible (medicinal) fungus residues under different carbon-nitrogen ratios on soil aggregates, an indoor constant temperature culture experiment was used to study the effects of adding Lentinus edodes residues, Grifola frondosa residues, and Agaricus bisporus residues on the composition and properties of water-stable aggregates in sandy loam soils. The results showed that the three tested fungi residues could effectively increase the average weight diameter of sandy loam soil aggregates, and the increase range was Lentinus edodes residues (206.8%) > Agaricus bisporus residues (81.8%) > Grifola frondosa residues (54.5%), the adding of Lentinus edodes residues improved the soil aggregate property rating from good to excellent. The aggregate properties treated by Lentinus edodes residues were significantly improved with the adding amount and cultivation time, and the increase of aggregate property index was mainly related to the transform of aggregates < 0.25 mm into large aggregates through agglomeration. The increase of the aggregate property index in Grifola frondosa residues’ treatment was mainly related to the aggregates of <0.25 mm forming larger aggregates in a short time under the entanglement of the fungal mycelium, but the newly formed aggregates had poor stability. While in the treatment of Agaricus bisporus residues, the transformation of 0.25-1 mm aggregates to 3-5 mm aggregates played an important role in the improvement of aggregate property index. The ability of different edible (medicinal) fungus residues to improve the properties of sandy loam aggregates was very different, and the carbon-nitrogen ratio of fungus residues was an important factor that affecting the improvement of soil aggregate properties. Too high carbon-nitrogen ratio of the fungus residues resulted in only a short-acting mechanism for improving the properties of the aggregates, and the aggregates formed did not have long-term stability. However, if the carbon-nitrogen ratio of the fungus residues was too low, the amount of fungus residues added to achieve the improvement effect was greatly increased, and the improvement effect was very slowly. When the carbon-nitrogen ratio of fungus residues was about twice the suitable carbon-nitrogen ratio for microbial activity (50:1), it was more cost-effective for improving sandy loam aggregates, and a long-term mechanism of action could be obtained.

  Study on Forecasting Model of Strawberry Yield in Greenhouses in the South of the Yangtze River LI Qingbin, ZHONG Pengzhi, WEI Shasha, HUANG Xin, CHEN Lei, SUN Junbo, CAO Yanyan 2023, 13 (5):  66-70.  DOI: 10.11923/j.issn.2095-4050.cjas2022-0026 Abstract + ( 210 )   HTML ( 8 )   PDF ( 1114KB )   ( 163 ) The study aims to establish a strawberry yield forecasting model for unheated greenhouses in climate-similar regions in the south of the Yangtze River, represented by Cixi of Zhejiang Province. According to the main growth periods and the physiological characteristics of fruit growth of greenhouse strawberry in winter and spring, we used statistical data of strawberry yield in greenhouses in Zhejiang Province Facility Agricultural Meteorological Experiment Station (Cixi) from 2011 to 2021 and the microclimatic data of various microclimate elements in greenhouses during the period of yield formation for the study. Then, we adopted the polynomial forecasting method to establish a multiple regression model based on key microclimatic factors such as effective accumulated temperature and radiative heat accumulation and the strawberry yield, and built a yield forecasting model of greenhouse strawberry for the south of the Yangtze River. The average accuracy of the yield forecasting model was 95.3%, and the minimum accuracy was above 90%. The model had good accuracy and could provide more accurate forecasting information for the annual yield of greenhouse strawberry. This study can be a basis for the yield forecast of greenhouse strawberry in the south of the Yangtze River and the production of greenhouse fruits and vegetables in other climate-similar regions.

  Effects of Compound Microbial Agents on the Growth of Watermelon and the Control of Root-Knot Nematode SUN Lili 2023, 13 (5):  71-75.  DOI: 10.11923/j.issn.2095-4050.cjas2021-0152 Abstract + ( 167 )   HTML ( 3 )   PDF ( 1057KB )   ( 118 ) To effectively prevent and control watermelon root-knot nematodes, the author chose greenhouses where 98% of watermelons were damaged by nematode and had no yield in 2020, compared the treatments of two compound microbial agents (Nematode Killing+Oligosaccharides Fosthiazate, treatment 1; Anti-Nemetode, treatment 2) with no nematicides application (CK), and studied the inhibitory effect of microbial agents on watermelon root-knot nematode, as well as the impact of microbial agent on watermelon yield and quality. The results showed that the two microbial agents had better effect on the growth of watermelon and the control of nematodes compared with CK. The yield of treatment 1 was 60912.0 kg/hm2, and the yield of treatment 2 was 60393.6 kg/hm2. The soluble solid content in the center of watermelon was 13.73% in treatment 1, and 13.30% in treatment 2, better than that of CK. The soluble solid content and yield were significantly different from those of CK. Under the treatment of compound microbial agents, the nematode population was much lower than that of CK, and at the same time, the plant roots in the whole growth period were not infected by nematodes, which was better than that of CK. In conclusion, compound microbial agents have a better application effect on the control of watermelon root-knot nematode.

  Storage Conditions of Different Types of Sweet Potato Varieties: Effects on Appearance and Quality Traits CHEN Lulu, SUN Zhe, TIAN Changgeng, LIU Shanggang, ZHAO Fengling, ZHENG Jianli 2023, 13 (5):  76-81.  DOI: 10.11923/j.issn.2095-4050.cjas2022-0012 Abstract + ( 171 )   HTML ( 6 )   PDF ( 1395KB )   ( 147 ) In order to explore the differences of appearance and quality traits between fresh-eating and starch sweet potato varieties under different storage conditions, the fresh-eating sweet potato variety ‘Taishu 14’ and starch sweet potato variety ‘Taishu 15’ were used as materials to test the changes of appearance and quality traits in different storage periods under the conditions of cold storage ((12±0.5)℃, (85%±5%) RH) and room temperature storage ((18±1)℃, (30%±5%) RH). The results showed that the root flesh color of ‘Taishu 14’ was significantly darker than that of ‘Taishu 15’ after 90 days’ storage at room temperature storage, while the root skin color and root flesh color of the two varieties changed little under cold storage. After being stored for 30 days at room temperature, the weight loss rate and dry rate of sweet potato roots increased rapidly and significantly, and the weight loss rate of ‘Taishu 15’ was less than that of ‘Taishu 14’, while the changes of weight loss rate and dry rate under cold storage were relatively smaller than those under room temperature storage. After being stored for 60 days at room temperature, the rot rate was significantly accelerated, and the rot rate of ‘Taishu 14’ was significantly higher than that of ‘Taishu 15’, while the rot rate under cold storage was significantly lower than that under room temperature storage. The soluble sugar content reached the peak at 60 days’ storage, which was higher under cold storage than that under room temperature storage. The starch content increased slightly under room temperature storage, while it remained relatively stable under cold storage. In conclusion, the root tuber quality decreased significantly after 60 days’ storage under room temperature, and the quality of fresh-eating sweet potato decreased more significantly than that of starch type sweet potato. Cold storage is conducive to the high-quality and safe storage of sweet potato roots.

  Bibliometric Study of Chinese Literature on Strawberry Based on CNKI SUN Feihu, LIANG Rong, LI Qingyun, XUE Zhanjun, WANG Xinxin 2023, 13 (5):  82-88.  DOI: 10.11923/j.issn.2095-4050.cjas2022-0022 Abstract + ( 190 )   HTML ( 4 )   PDF ( 1788KB )   ( 180 ) With “strawberry” as the keyword, we searched literature on strawberry in the CNKI database from 1990 to 2020, analyzed and evaluated the annual number of published articles, authors, institutions and keywords with the method of bibliometrics, and summarized current research status, trends and hotspots. The results showed that the number of published articles on strawberry increased rapidly, mainly on the quality and yield of strawberry. The hotspots included cultivation techniques, new varieties, fertilization systems, disease and pest control, and continuous cropping obstacles. Future strawberry research will focus on cultivation techniques, disease and pest control, breeding of new varieties and gene expression analysis. Since the pathogenic mechanism of strawberry continuous cropping is still unclear, further research is needed to explore the impact of continuous cropping on soil ecology.

  Effects of Climate Warming on Phenological Phase of Albizia julibrissin in Linfen REN Yuhuan, YAO Chuang, ZHAO Haiyan, FAN Zhixuan, LIU Jiqin, LI Jingjing 2023, 13 (5):  89-95.  DOI: 10.11923/j.issn.2095-4050.cjas2022-0047 Abstract + ( 195 )   HTML ( 5 )   PDF ( 1287KB )   ( 170 ) To reveal the influence of climate warming on the phenological phase of typical urban woody plants in loess plateau, the effects of climate factors such as temperature and accumulated temperature on phenological phase of Albizia julibrissin in Linfen were analyzed by linear regression, wavelet analysis and correlation analysis. The results showed that the annual average temperature in Linfen showed an increasing trend under the background of global warming, with an increase of 2.9℃ from 1983 to 2021. The annual average precipitation fluctuated with the interval of 6 years and 15 years, respectively. Spring phenological phase was earlier and autumn phenological phase had no obvious changing trend, resulting in increased growth season. The temperature and accumulated temperature were very significantly correlated with first leaf unfolding and first flowering, and were significantly correlated with fruit maturing. The first leaf coloration and the end of leaf fall were not sensitive to meteorological conditions, and were affected by the date of fruit ripening.

The multicollinearity of predictors was diagnosed through statistic test on the basis of reasonable selecting predictors, the ridge regression analysis was used to get over the influence of multicollinearity on the model stability, and the accuracy of the prediction model was tested by comparing simulated values and measured values. The results showed that collinearity existed among the predictors, and the prediction model of the minimum temperature inside solar greenhouse based on ridge regression could overcome the influence of collinearity on the model parameters. Between the simulated values and measured values, the accuracy rate of the absolute error (≤3℃) was 98.4%, the coefficient of determination (R2) was 0.8543, the root mean square error (RMSE) was 0.7849℃, and the accuracy of the prediction model was high. The minimum temperature prediction model based on ridge regression could reasonably and effectively predict the minimum temperature inside the local solar greenhouse.
