  Influence of Different Varieties and Densities on Growth and Yield of Maize in Dryland 2011, 1 (10):  1-5.  Abstract + ( 2894 )   PDF ( 1041KB )   ( 1842 ) To make full use of dryland maize potential productivity and find suitable key cultivated measures of maize high yield in this area, the experiment was conducted in a split-plot treatment arrangement to explore the influence of different varieties and densities on growth and yield of maize in dryland. The results showed that economic yield, biomass yield and harvest index of compact-planting and close density tolerant maize ‘Zhengdan958’ was respectively higher 15.1%, 7.8% and 6.8% than that of rare-planting and large-size spike maize ‘Yongfeng1’ significantly. Economic yield and biomass yield increased while density increased. While densities of ‘Zhengdan958’ was 72000 plants per hm2 and densities of ‘Yongfeng1’ was 48000 plants per hm2, maize could keep lower biomass yield and higher economic yield, as well as could achieve harmonious relationships between leaf source and grain sink.

  Analysis of High and Stable Yield of New Tartary Buckwheat Variety of ‘Jinqiaomai2’ and Utilization Prospect 2011, 1 (10):  6-10.  Abstract + ( 1604 )   PDF ( 1085KB )   ( 1673 ) The aim was to provide the basis for the rational utilization of ‘Jinqiaomai2’ in the tartary buckwheat in the north of China tartary buckwheat planting area. Using method analysis of variance and New multiple range test method, high stability coefficient method, combining with the coefficient of variation of the yield and adaptability degree, high yield stability of varieties was analyzed. In the 2006-2008, tartary Buckwheat region test of Country (Northern China) and tartary buckwheat production test of Country in 2008, the average yield of ‘Jinqiaomai2’ were 2006.0 kg/hm2 and 2152.5 kg/hm2, increasing by 13.3% and 24.4% than that of the control. Their high stability coefficients were 39.80% and 5.4%, being all lower than that of the control. Their yield variation coefficients were 41.58% and 38.85%, being all lower than that of the control. Their fitness were 48.7% and 100%, being all higher than that of the control. ‘Jinqiaomai2’ is a high and stable yield and high adaptability new tartary buckwheat varieties, has wide adaptability, good quality, suitable for processing all kinds of tartary buckwheat health products and the industrialization of development, has a good application prospect in the north of China tartary buckwheat planting area.

  Analysis of Variation in Agronomic Traits of Ardisia Crenata from Different Provenances 2011, 1 (10):  11-17.  Abstract + ( 1705 )   PDF ( 1060KB )   ( 1516 ) In order to breed Ardisia crenata so well, the test compared the agronomic traits of Ardisia crenata from eleven provenances, the results showed: (1) There were highly significant differences of agronomic traits of Ardisia crenata among different provenances (P＜0.01), the coefficient of variation among those traits was 9.52%-50.26% and had great choose potential. The coefficient of variation of the fruit number per ear, ear number, blade pitch, 100-fruit weight, branch number, canopy height ratio, length of fruit stalk, stem diameter and ear length were high. The coefficient of variation of the canopy diameter, trunk height, plant height, leaf width, leaf length-width ratio, fruit longitudinal diameter, petiole length, fruit width and leaf length were small. (2) Plant height and trunk height, blade pitch and petiole length, fruit longitudinal diameter and fruit width had positive correlation relationship. (3)Adopt the sort result of principal component analysis, select Nanning Guangxi, Ji'an Jiangxi provenances by plant form traits, select Zhangping Fujian provenance by leaf form traits, select Zhangping Fujian, Dujiangyan Sichuan, Songyang Zhejiang provenances by ornamental value of fruit, select Wuping Fujian, Kaihua Zhejiang, Huichang Jiangxi provenances by comprehensive assessment of all traits.

  The Research on Genetic Diversity Analysis by ISSR Markers of Sarcandra glabra (Thunb.) Nakai 2011, 1 (10):  18-24.  Abstract + ( 1701 )   PDF ( 2789KB )   ( 1473 ) With further study on genetic character of Sarcandra glabra (Thunb.) Nakai, ISSR markers were used to analyze genetic diversity in 37 kinds of Sarcandra glabra (Thunb.) Nakai. Among the 100 ISSR molecular markers, there were 17 primers that showed good diversity and clear bands. The genetic diversity analysis and cluster analysis were based on the amplification results with POPGENE 1.32 and NTSYS software. The results showed that: 105 sites were found by 17 primers, and 87 sites showed polymorphism, the percentage of polymorphic loci was 65.71%., the genetic diversity of the tested five populations: Fujian, Guangdong, Jiangxi, Zhejiang and Guangxi, was 0.1770, and the intra species genetic diversity was 0.0990. The coefficient of gene differentiation (Gst) was 0.4405, and the gene flow Nm was 0.6350. indicating that 44.05% population variation comes from the interspecific variation, and the others comes from the intraspecific variation. The variance range of genetic similarity coefficient were 0.7048 -0.9143, with an average of 0.8096. Cluster analysis showed that 37 kinds of species could be clustered into 5 groups at a genetic distance coefficient of 0.81. The cluster result indicated that the genetic distance between each small population was related to the environment in which different population of Sarcandra glabra (Thunb.) Nakai grew. However,the genetic distance had no relativity with geographic distance.

  Evaluation of Germplasm Resource of Liriope muscari Based on Cluster Analysis 2011, 1 (10):  25-30.  Abstract + ( 1662 )   PDF ( 1055KB )   ( 1940 ) To appraise and analyze the quality of L. muscar germplasm resources. Cultivated Liriope muscar germplasm were widely collected in genuine medicinal materials production area. All of those main morphological characters and economic traits were investigated. The excellent germplasm with good economic traits were selected based on cluster analysis. 45 germplasm resources of L. muscar were collected. There were significant differences in 9 main morphological characters, including branch number, root number, the single root tuber, the multiple root tuber, leaf length, leaf width, the vien number, the root tuber length, the root tuber diameter. significant differences were also in 3 main economic traits, including yield per plant, polysaccharide content and total saponin content. 45 germplasm resources can be divided into 5 groups. Group IV and V were with excellent comprehensive characters. 3 good germplasm were selected based on widely collected and appraised of L. muscar.

  Research on Development Issues of Circular Agriculture in China 2011, 1 (10):  31-33.  Abstract + ( 1693 )   PDF ( 820KB )   ( 1934 ) Abstract: Beginning with theoretical source retrospect of circular economy, this paper systematically illustrated profound meaning of circular agriculture; summarized basic characteristics of circular agriculture in new period in China, which are organic combination of traditional agriculture and modern technology, standardization of link from production to consumption, virtuous cycle of agricultural ecological and economic benefit, and sustainable development of agricultural resource and environment; brief reviewed development and status of circular agriculture in China; analyzed main problem of circular agriculture development in China; Finally, this paper put forwards basic ideas and countermeasures of circular agriculture development in China at this stage.

  Effects of Super Absorbent Polymers-polyacrylamide on Yields and Quality of Watermelon 2011, 1 (10):  34-37.  Abstract + ( 1650 )   PDF ( 1009KB )   ( 1757 ) To improve the applying level of polyacrylamide, field experiments were conducted to investigate the effects of polyacrylamide on yields and quality of watermelon. There were two treatments with PAM treatment (applying polyacrylamide of 37.5 kg/hm2) and CK treatment (no polyacrylamide).The varieties of watermelon were jingxin no.2 and L600. The results showed that yields of jinxin no.2 and L600 with applying polyacrylamide were 63.0 t/hm2 and 85.8 t/hm2 respectively, increased by 6.39% and 20.2% when compared to CK treatment. Applying polyacrylamide did not affected the watermelon fruit quality. The economic benefits of applying polyacrylamide were 85.7 and 143 thousand of jingxin no.2 and L600, which increased by 6.61% and 23.8% respectively when compared to CK treatment. In conclusion, the polyacrylamide has the widely application prospect because of achieving the effects of increasing product and economic gains in watermelon.

  Dynamic Characteristics of Soil Organic Carbon and Microbial Biomass Carbon of Evergreen Broad-leaved Forest in Wuyi Mountain 2011, 1 (10):  38-42.  Abstract + ( 1499 )   PDF ( 1062KB )   ( 1767 ) In order to research the soil carbon cycle rules in the main area of evergreen broad-leaved forest in Wuyi Mountain, the seasonal changes of soil organic carbon (SOC), microbial biomass carbon (MBC) and profile distributions at different horizon soil were studied in 2010 and 2011. Furthermore, the relationship among MBC, SOC, qMB was discussed. And environmental factors which influenced it was found. The results showed that MBC and SOC contented in the soil were higher in summer and autumn than in spring and winter, while the seasonal changes of SOC was not significantly different. MBC and SOC of the G1 (0-10 cm) soil were higher than those in G2 (10-20 cm) and G3 (20-30 cm). MBC and SOC were not evidently different between in G2 and G3. The content trend for MBC and SOC decreased from up to down. MBC, SOC and qMB contented in 0-30 cm soil showed a significant correlation (P<0.01). It was indicated that the surface accumulation of the soil organic carbon was high and affected MBC obviously.

  Agricultural Intelligent Expert System Development Research Based on PAID5.0 2011, 1 (10):  43-48.  Abstract + ( 1466 )   PDF ( 1015KB )   ( 1767 ) Agricultural intelligent expert system is one of computer technology, which used in the field of agricultural with the expert system knowledge. In order to better on agricultural intelligent expert system for development and application, further the important of the positive role in use of the agricultural science and technology promotion and the transformation of the achievements. In this paper, the methods of system science used mainly researches the agricultural intelligent expert system development methods, techniques and tools. The results shows that based on the current agricultural intelligent expert system based on development tools of the secondary development method has become the mainstream. This paper introduces agricultural intelligent expert system for secondary development process, and the building of rule and knowledge, and the designing of base function module base on PAID5.0, for agriculture intelligent expert system to provide basis for construction.

  Status Quo of Chinese Wheat Industry, Regulation Policy and Suggestion 2011, 1 (10):  49-54.  Abstract + ( 1763 )   PDF ( 952KB )   ( 2152 ) In the past few years, wheat production and consumption is steadily increasing, supply is full, and price is gradually up, the wheat industry is in good condition on the whole in China. This report analyze the status quo and potential of Chinese wheat Industry, analyze the policies and their effects on wheat production support ,market regulation and trade in recent years, propose aim and give suggestion for future development. The report believe that China must insist on the policy of self-supply firstly and import secondarily, improve low and medium-yield farmland, build high standard farmland, input more fund to agricultural science and technology research, strengthen the good breed and proper technology research and extension, focus on increasing wheat yield and improve wheat production capacity, thus promote sound and sustained development of wheat industry.

  Increasing Comprehensive Grain Production Capacity of Policy Thinking 2011, 1 (10):  55-58.  Abstract + ( 1618 )   PDF ( 828KB )   ( 1749 ) This article was based on the status of Chinese comprehensive grain production capacity. First, from the national food security, economic and social development, the international situation requirements, it improved the importance of food production capacity. Second, it used specific data analysis of the challenges of current Chinese grain capacity production, the resource constraints become increasingly prominent, weak infrastructure, frequency of natural disasters, pest and disease, relatively low efficiency, non perfect of supporting policy. Finally, it issues for the corresponding policy recommendations. That was to strengthen the protection of farmland and a high standard farmland construction; increase investment of the main producing areas and the agricultural infrastructure; increase food disaster prevention and resilience; enhance the technological level of food production; further strengthen policies to support grain production.

  Tactics of Follow-up Learning Support Services of Distance Training on Agricultural Science and Technology 2011, 1 (10):  59-64.  Abstract + ( 1513 )   PDF ( 945KB )   ( 2103 ) Distance training on agricultural science and technology has provided the opportunity of study for the broad masses of trainees. The distance training has become one of the important ways to raise the trainees’ standard of agricultural science and technology. But because of the trainees’ individual characteristic factors, there exists a great difference in trainees’ ability of gaining the agriculture knowledge and information, in trainees’ understanding and applying agricultural science and technology. The purpose of studying follow-up learning support services of distance training on agricultural science and technology is to explore a way to provide the trainees with the continuous guarantee of study quality. The necessity of follow-up learning support services of distance training on agricultural science and technology has been narrated. The difference between distance training on agricultural science and technology and distance education has been analyzed. Taking the successful example of the distance training on rural practical technology in Fujian as enlightenment, the countermeasures and suggestions of using the modern information technical superiority to provide the academic and non-academic follow-up learning support services for the trainees in view of the trainees’ individuality and disparity have been proposed.

  Discussion on Three New Solving Measures for Three Rural Problems of China 2011, 1 (10):  65-68.  Abstract + ( 1579 )   PDF ( 935KB )   ( 1614 ) In order to find better approaches and measures for solving ‘three rural problems’, the authors reviewed and summarized some of new experiences and ideas of agricultural development at abroad, incorporated with some of successful practices in China. According to this practices and theories at home and abroad, the authors argued that China’s governments might take three sorts of measures to put into practice as follows: agricultural industrial clusterization; rural property marketization; farmers’ new urbanization. Based on the three sorts of measures mentioned above, the authors introduced the applications and practices in Huaibei City of Anhui Province through spatial layout planning of Huaibei’s urban-rural harmony, which were the important measures to promote regional urban-rural harmony. While, it was worth noting that three sorts of measures to solving ‘three rural problems’, which concluded from methods of summing-up and deduction, should be verified and revised through more China’s rural reforms and practices.

  Empirical Analysis on the Effect of Agricultural Investment of Taiwan Businessmen to the Growth of the Agricultural Economy in Fujian 2011, 1 (10):  69-74.  Abstract + ( 1346 )   PDF ( 1242KB )   ( 1645 ) The aim was to study the effects of investment of Taiwan on the agricultural development of Fujian. With the panel data of 1991 to 2009 Fujian agricultural gross output value and the real investment of Taiwan businessmen in Fujian agriculture and so on, a quantitative analysis on the efficiency of using the agricultural investment of Taiwan businessmen in Fujian agriculture was done by using the co-integration test, error correction models and Granger causality test. It was certified by the research that there is a co-integration relationship in the long term equilibrium between the agricultural investment of Taiwan businessmen and the growth of Fujian agricultural economy. In the short term the agricultural investment of Taiwan businessmen could cause the change of Fujian agricultural gross output value in the same direction. Fujian agricultural gross output value would change at 0.674183% when the agricultural investment of Taiwan businessmen at 1%. When the short term fluctuation deviated from the long term equilibrium, non equilibrium state would be taken to the equilibrium state at the adjustment of -0.332285, which explains that there was a dynamic mode between the agricultural investment of Taiwan businessmen and the growth of Fujian agricultural economy. So the agricultural investment of Taiwan businessmen made a obvious improvement to the growth of Fujian agricultural economy, but the growth of Fujian agricultural economy didn’t affect the agricultural investment of Taiwan businessmen.
